Speaker

Eugène G. Maduro, BSc. is an Aruban public health professional with a background as a medical laboratory technician specializing in histology and cytology (BSc., Leiden, Netherlands). He started his career in 1999 at the National Pathology Laboratory, where he introduced immunohistochemistry for breast cancer hormones. Since 2010, he has worked as a statistical analyst in the Epidemiology and Research Unit of the Public Health Department, specializing in infectious disease and mortality surveillance and the submission of national health data. He has extensive ties with international public health organizations, including WHO, PAHO, and CARPHA. He is currently completing his Master’s degree in Epidemiology in Colombia, with research focused on obesity risk factors in Aruban adults using the 2023 STEPS data.
